Before You Book
Yes, we recommend booking ahead – especially for weekends and holidays.
We sometimes have space for drop-ins or same-day bookings, but can’t guarantee availability. Booking in advance is the best way to secure your spot.
Some activities are designed with specific age groups in mind, but magical minds of all ages are welcome. If you are unsure please email us in advance.
If you’re unsure whether something’s right for you or your child, just ask – we’re happy to help.
Yes! Many of our experiences – especially Potion Classes – are just as fun for grown-ups. Adults can book to join in or simply watch from the sidelines.
Only if you’re participating in the activity. Spectators are welcome free of charge.
Magic is for everyone, and we’ll always do our best to accommodate your needs. Vogrie House is a listed building, built in 1851 and while there are aspects of the building we are unable to change, we have done our best to make our space as accessible as possible. Drop us an email if you have specific questions and we’ll do our best!
The Accessible Entrance into Vogrie House is at the rear of the building. Using the concrete path from the Disabled Car Park Area, go past the main doors and follow this round the left hand side of the building to the Accessible Entrance.
There is lift to your right hand side through the double doors as you enter. The Bubbling Toad is on Floor 1.
Please check out our Quiet Sessions for sensory-friendly options, or contact us in advance so we can make your visit as smooth and magical as possible.
About the Experiences
Not at all! They’re mystical and magical – but definitely not scary.
There are no jump scares or loud surprises. Our Wizards and Elixirs are gentle, friendly, and PVG-checked, with lots of experience supporting children and neurodiverse guests.
Nothing at all – just bring your imagination! All materials, cloaks, and ingredients are provided.
Christmas Experience
The experience usually takes 30–45 minutes. There’s a gentle flow with no rush, you’ll have time to enjoy every corner of the Festive Hollow before being guided through the portal for your special visit with Santa.
You’ll receive a code in your confirmation email which lets you through the barrier and down the main drive to Vogrie House. From there, you can park in our woodland car park, currently marked Staff Car Park. We’ve added this during the darker winter evenings so families can park closer to the house instead of walking from the park’s main car park.
Yes. Access is via the back of Vogrie House, and we have a lift available.
Not quite, only the kind you can spot with the most curious of imaginations, but the park come alive with wildlife after dusk so you may be lucky to spot some eyes watching you through the trees.
Your time in the Festive Hollow will be shared with other families, but your visit to meet Santa in his Grotto is exclusively yours.
We don’t provide professional photography, but you’re more than welcome to take your own photos throughout the experience. Don’t forget to tag us @thebubblingtoad if you share them!
No, only children aged 0–16 need a ticket. Adults attend free of charge.
For this experience, a child is anyone aged 0–16 years. This event is designed to be enjoyed by little ones and teens alike.

Yes, toilets are located on the ground floor of Vogrie House.
Quiet sessions are designed for our neurodiverse guests or those who prefer a gentler pace. During these sessions, fairy lights and music can be turned off on request, fewer slots are available, and our staff (including Santa) will take extra care to create a magical but calm experience.
Food & Calm Spaces
Yes! If your booking includes use of the Lunar Library or Fairy Hollow, you’re welcome to bring your own food or pre-order from the Tree Top Café at Vogrie.
Please note: The Tree Top Café is a separate business. All food orders must be arranged directly with them.
The Lunar Library is subject to availability and may be reserved for party bookings at certain times.
If you’d like to use it for food or quiet time, please check when booking.
We understand that sometimes the magic can feel a little too big – and that’s okay.
When not in use for parties, the Lunar Library is open during visits as a calm, quiet space to rest, reset, or just breathe.
There is also a quiet outdoor shelter at the back of Vogrie House, perfect for fresh air and space if needed.
We always aim to support all our guests in feeling comfortable, safe, and welcome.
